My Top 3 Priorities
There has been significant drop in audit releases since 2016, my first priority will be assessing current City Auditor Staff capabilities, fostering a supportive work environment, and filling gaps.
Implement an Open Checkbook, where every disbursement made by the City of Long Beach is publicly available to all residents.
Recent CA court rulings declared $30.9 Million of Long Beach Water Department's fees transferred to the City’s general fund to be unconstitutional. City Hall decided to send only $9 Million back to residents and defer payment of the remaining amount.
