Born in East Los Angeles, moved to Temple City when I was twelve. Starting out in public schools as a young child, my parents sacrificed to afford me the opportunity of a parochial education thru high school graduating from La Salle High School in Pasadena. My journey as a youth taught me many lessons and that good choices often times returned good results. After getting married to my wife in La Verne and being a father to two children, we have raised our family in La Verne and commited ourselves to a La Verne life.
Being the first in my family to graduate from college with a B.S. Degree in Business Finance and Economics from Cal State University, Los Angeles, my working career started with a foundation of education I quickly learned to apply in meaningful ways. My opportunities for advancement grew from pursuing knowledge at ever turn. The willingenss to travel to unfamiliar places across the globe afforded me the opportunity to gain perspective in how to work with people from different cultures and having different languages, yet dependent on each for our mutual success. Through that approach, I learned the importance of professional development, teamwork and expertise. Soon after several promotions, I was able to add listening, mentoring, critical thinking, discipline and leadership. These fortified my pillars of professional success within an industry leading publicly traded company. Additionally, from working under the sharp eye of Sarbanes Oxley Compliance requirements, I added data integrity to my pillars of importance and thus a strength. These all worked together to deliver success in a fully transparent and sustainable manner.
Recent career titles have included Global Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Operations and Manufacturing, and what I hold today as Chief Operating Officer.
My service history started as a young boy where I was an altar boy for several churches up to my teenage years. I restarted my community service accepting the responsibility to be a Scoutmaster for a Boy Scout Troop serving La Verne and San Dimas. For several years I commited my free time after work and many weekends to provide quality experiences and personal growth opportunities for young men. I've since transitiond to volunteering as a driver for Meals on Wheels providing meals to those in need, also particpating in fundraising to ensure the program can remain viable to those who depend on it. I now look to continue in service to my community as their representative in name only, but more so their resident partner in our community.
