As an experienced Rosemead city councilmember I serve on multiple agencies at the National, Regional and local levels and was elected last year to serve as the President of the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments. We study issues affecting our cities and residents and support the helpful ones and oppose the harmful. For that reason I want to continue as the city's "Watchdog". I bring institutional knowlege and helped form and serve on the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority which ovesees the cleanup of our precious groundwater basin. I also helped form and serve on the San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy which brings parks and open space to park poor communities.

I humbly ask for your vote to continue my efforts in making Rosemead a great city. During my tenure on the City Council, we have balanced our budget while increasing services, expanding parks and recreation space, and completing infrastructure improvements. These leading efforts have ranked Rosemead #1 in the San Gabriel Valley for Financial Stability.

Due to our efforts, Rosemead was able to attract national restaurant chains such as TGI Friday's, The Olive Garden, Chipotle Mexican Grill, The Habit, Jersey Mike's, Wingstop, Lucille's, ULTA, PetSmart, and Panda Express.

Together, we continue to celebrate the diversity in Rosemead by hosting the Moon Festival, Fall Fiesta/ Dia de Los Muertos, and the 4th of July Parade and Celebration.

During these past two challenging years, I worked in making sure resources and services were available for our residents.

Thirteen years ago, I vowed to hear your concerns and be your voice. I believe I have lived up to my word. Today, I ask for your vote to be your Councilmember. It would be an honor to continue to represent my hometown of Rosemead.
