Biography
Sonoma and Marin Counties deserve an experienced local leader who stands up for our priorities and
our values. I’ve been fighting for the North Bay for 18 years, including as a Marin County Supervisor,
Vice-Mayor of San Rafael, School Board President, and as a California Deputy Attorney General.
When PG&E was slow to act, I co-founded Marin Clean Energy and helped start Sonoma Clean Power,
giving the North Bay reliable green energy. I authored San Rafael’s first Climate Action Plan and will act
with urgency to tackle the climate crisis as our next Assemblymember. On the Bay Area’s regional
Metropolitan Transportation Commission, I’ve secured investments to improve public transit reliability,
improve bike and pedestrian safety, and fix our roads. I’m a champion for preserving open space and
wildfire prevention. I’ve secured funding for hundreds of affordable housing units and for
compassionate solutions to help the unhoused. I’ve fought for strong public education and an economy
that works for everyone. With Roe v. Wade under attack, I’ll ensure that California is a sanctuary for
access to safe and legal reproductive health care and a woman’s right to choose, and I won’t stop until
every Californian has the peace of mind that comes with universal health care.
I’m endorsed by the California Teachers Association, California Professional Firefighters, SEIU California,
the North Bay Building Trades Council, Sonoma County Board of Supervisors President James Gore,
Marin County Supervisors Judy Arnold, Stephanie Moulton-Peters, and Dennis Rodoni, Santa Rosa
Mayor Chris Rogers, San Rafael Mayor Kate Colin and dozens more. I would be honored to work for you
in Sacramento.

My Top 3 Priorities
- Climate change crisis. I have a detailed climate action plan outlining bold action to protect communities from drought, extreme weather, devastating wildfires, and rising sea levels, and to decarbonize our economy by 2030.
- Mental health services as part of affordable health care. Our communities have long faced a lack of support for mental health needs as older adults and others are more isolated.
- Affordable housing and homelessness. California is facing unprecedented homeless and housing crises. Growing numbers of older adults, veterans, and families with children are at risk, and there are few housing options our local workforce can afford.
